"In The Collapse of Parenting, internationally acclaimed author, Leonard Sax argues that rising levels of depression, ADHD and anxiety can be traced back to parents abdicating their authority. The result is children who have only a slippery grasp of right and wrong, who lack discipline, and who look to their peers and the Internet for direction. Sax shows how parents must reassert their authority - by limiting time with screens, by prioritizing the family, and by teaching humility and perspective, among other strategies - to refresh and renew their relationships with their children."

"Dr. Leonard Sax's The Collapse of Parenting should be required reading for all parents." - Dr. Nancy Kehoe, assistant clinical professor of psychology, Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School.

Together we'll discuss and dissect the tips and tools suggested in The Collapse of Parenting and how it pertains to your children, parenting and family life. I've always been an advocate for children feeling empowered. There's a fine line between this and giving kids too much power. Dr. Sax helps make sense of this and how to best empower without giving up too much control before the child is ready and is appropriate.

This online book study will be geared towards parents and teachers of children mid-elementary aged through 14 years old.
